Dental Implants - Dental implants have been used for over 50 years and are now a great way to replace a single missing tooth, multiple missing teeth, or even to stabilize a full denture. Dental implants work like your own natural teeth, using a titanium post as a substitute for the root of your tooth. A crown is then placed over the post, creating a natural, healthy looking tooth. |

Digital X-Rays - Dental radiographs, or X-rays, are an important part of a thorough dental examination. The digital technique uses less radiation than the typical x-ray and there is no wait time for the x-rays to develop -- the images are available on screen a few seconds after being taken. The image taken, of a tooth for example, can be enhanced and enlarged many times its’ actual size on the computer screen, making it easier for our dentists to show you where and what the problem is. Also, for your convenience, images can be electronically sent to our many specialists in cases where a referral is needed |

Bridges - A dental bridge is a treatment used to fill the space where one or more teeth have fallen out or have been removed. A typical dental bridge consists of a pontic (filler tooth) that is attached to two surrounding crowns (abutments). Once complete, this dental bridge structure is bonded in place to fill the gap left by the missing tooth/teeth. Without use of a dental bridge, space in the mouth can cause multiple teeth to shift. This can lead to occlusion (biting) and/or jaw problems as well as periodontal disease. Dental bridges safeguard the integrity of existing teeth and help maintain a healthy, vibrant smile. |

Root Canals - A root canal is a treatment used to repair and save a tooth that is badly decayed or becomes infected. During a root canal procedure, the nerve and pulp are removed and the inside of the tooth is cleaned and sealed. Without treatment, the tissue surrounding the tooth will become infected and abscesses may form. A tooth's nerve is not vitally important to a tooth's health and function after the tooth has emerged through the gums. Its only function is sensory -- to provide the sensation of hot or cold. The presence or absence of a nerve will not affect the day-to-day functioning of the tooth. |

Periodontics - Periodontal disease affects many and becomes increasingly likely after age 30. Bacteria grow in the colorless, sticky plaque that constantly forms on your teeth. Regular brushing and flossing at home can help you prevent this bacterial build-up. As part of our proactive treatment for periodontal disease, we use professional methods such as scaling, root planing and local delivery of antimicrobials. This treatment will effectively prevent the progression of the disease. |

Tooth-Colored Fillings – Composite fillings bond to your tooth and they restore most of the original strength of the tooth. White fillings also restore the natural appearance of the tooth and require less removal of tooth structure. |

Dentures – Also known as false teeth, dentures are prosthetic devices constructed to replace missing teeth. Conventional dentures are removable; however there are many different denture designs, some which rely on bonding or clasping onto teeth or dental implants. |
